Patoka Lake Tournament Results
This past weekend on Patoka greeted our club members with temperatures in the 30's and 40's after a major cold front went through on Wednesday and dropped the temperature over 30 degrees from Wednesday to Thursday
With the water temperature falling from the mid to upper 50's to around 50 caused the fish to be very scattered, but teams still caught fish. Trolling and Spider Rigging seemed to dominate the top of the list this weekend as each of the top 5 teams were fishing this way.
A Big thank you goes out to Tom Hankins, Glenn Gill and the advisory board that made the check-in/weigh-in process go smoothly. For many of us this our first experience with operating a tournament, so we are thankful that everyone was patient with us and we hope to get more efficient as the year progresses.
There were a total of 35 teams that braved the elements and nearly every team weighed fish. This was not an easy task as the bite was nearly as tough as the weather on tournament day.
Keep an eye open for Morse lake information. We are going to have an early check-in at the ramp on Friday night to help speed Saturday Morning up.
